Gottingen Street for Scott Jones on November 28 to open with Ceremony and Song at Mi'kmaq Native Friendship Centre.
Halifax, NS – Weirdo Click and Nicole Ariana have joined the 40+ artists performing at Gottingen Street for Scott Jones. On November 28, Gottingen Street for Scott Jones will take over theMarquee Ballroom, the Company House, the Bus Stop Theatre, Alteregos, Menz Bar and Plan Bfor a night of music and performance with artists including Paper Lions, Erin Costelo, Rouge Fatale, Quake Matthews, Heather Green, Billie Dre and the Poor Boys and El Jones. The evening will open at 5:20pm with a ceremony and sharing circle with Native Elders at the Mi'kmaq Native Friendship Centre, with performances from local choirs and thoughts from community leaders.
Scott Jones is a 27-year-old music teacher from New Glasgow who was stabbed over Thanksgiving weekend, because of his sexuality. His spine was severed and he has been left paralyzed by the attack.More than $80,000 has been raised to assist Scott Jones in his recovery. Now, members of the Halifax music scene have organised a mammoth fundraiser involving more than 30 top flight artists, all performing at half a dozen venues on Gottingen on November 28.
"To have these performers and businesses come together in my name is overwhelming,” said Scott Jones. “This is going to be an amazing night and I am so thankful for their support and love!"

Spoken word and performance with Deirdre Lee, Ardath Whynchat, El Jones and Hermit of the Woods, followed by a dance party with DJ Regalia.
8PM – 1AM / PWYC, suggested donation $10
Comedy Show featuring Bill Wood, Paul Warford, Andie Bulman, Ann Denny and Megan Mackay.
9-11PM / PWYC, suggested donation $10
Drag and Burlesque Show hosted by Rouge Fatale featuring Felix Static, Vincent St. Grace, Clark Kunt, Luscious Lane, Farrah Moan, Eureka Love, Miss Magenta, Morph and Mr. Hott Metz, followed by a dance party with DJ Jo Riddles.

Advance tickets are available for Menz Bar ($10), the Bus Stop Theatre ($15), the Company House ($15) and the Marquee Ballroom ($15 advance, $20 at the door). A discounted service fee will be added.
