Subject: Our Youth, Our Response

The Gender & Health Promotion Studies Unit (GAHPS Unit) has been working on a project relating to HIV and Hep C prevention among youth in Atlantic Canada for the last several years. We are winding down data collection but have an important piece left: focus groups!

We hope to have two or three focus groups in the next few months in Halifax. We are looking to talk to Nova Scotia residents (aged 16 years and older) with a knowledge of HIV/AIDS and/or Hep C prevention. Groups will meet in Haliax and will last between 60 and 90 minutes.

Anyone who is interested in participating shoould contact Research Coordinator Kirk Furlotte for a short pre-screening interview to ensure they meet our focus group criteria. If they qualify, GAHPS will contact them when we have scheduled a relevant focus group.

We encourage you to ask any questions by contacting Kirk by phone (902-494-2213, tool-free 1-855-494-7809) or by e-mail (gahps@dal.ca).
