On August 10, 2024, Halifax's Rainbow of Recovery group will host the Live And Let Live Roundup.
An AA Roundup is a gathering of members of Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Alateen, families and friends; anyone is welcome to attend. We come together as a fellowship to share our experience, strength and hope with each other. We meet new friends and have great meals. We listen to some amazing AA and Al-Anon speakers who share their personal stories of recovery, and we celebrate our AA sobriety with a sobriety countdown – a highlight of AA Roundups.
Date: August 10, 2024
Time: 9am - 9pm
Location: Woodlawn United Church, 54 Woodlawn Rd, Dartmouth. Free Parking.
There will be four panel meetings, a speaker meeting and a Drag/Variety Show!
This roundup is open to the public. Friends, family, non-alcoholics and those curious about sobriety are encouraged to come.
If you are interested in preforming in the drag/variety show, please contact GayAATalent@gmail.com
Note, there are limited spaces given time restraints. Spots are limited to members of AA.
Childcare will be provided free of charge. If you require childcare, please specify in the form below.
We will be providing coffee and tea. In an effort to keep registration costs low, lunch will not be provided. Attendees are asked to procure or bring their own lunch and snacks. We will have lists of nearby restaurants at the event.
Cost
To make the event accessible for all, we are selling tickets on a sliding scale. We suggest $25, but if you are able to pay more to cover the costs of those not yet financially rehabilitated, we welcome your contributions. If the full $25 ticket is a barrier to you, please pay what you are able - or just show up.
After filling out the registration form (link below) you can send an etransfer to gayayayhfx@gmail.com.
For those from outside of Canada looking to attend, please contact the email gayayayhfx@gmail.com to arrange payment over Paypal.
