NSRAP Holds Halifax IDAHoT Rally on Thursday, May 21

The Nova Scotia Rainbow Action Project (NSRAP) will hold its annual May 17: International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia rally on Thursday, May 21, in the plaza in front of the Halifax Central Library.

Their theme for 2015 is Youth & Allies: Stronger Together. Speakers will include NSRAP Chair, Adam Myatt; Trans activist, King's Pride Co-Chair (and dynamite speaker!) Jessica Durling, much loved local activist, Lynn Murphy (recently honoured by NSRAP with their first Lifetime Achievement Award, along with Emilie Smith, proud parent to a Trans* son, and speakers from the Youth Project's GSA Network.

Youth Leader and Preschool Teacher Axel Obame hosts the rally which will also feature performances from VOX: A Choir for Social Change; Erika Kulnys; and The Women Next Door

NSRAP invites LGBTQ and LGBTQ-friendly community groups to set up an info table(s) at the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia rally. Any organization wishing to do so should supply their own table and attendant and should be set up by 5:30 pm attendants and should expect to remain on site until after the crowd disperses. There is no charge, but donations to offset costs associated with the are most welcome. Anyone wishing to set up a table or seeking more information shoulg contact IDAHoT Rally Chair, Chris Aucoin at the earliest opportunity"
