“It’s a great opportunity to meet people (OK... meet men), and there’s an honorarium too!”
Sex Now 2018 is a survey of gay, bi, queer, and other men into men (including trans guys and two-spirit guys). We need volunteers at Halifax Pride to recruit and assist survey participants. There are three shifts available at the Garrison Grounds festival site (each about 4 hours long):
- Saturday July 21st in the afternoon
- Saturday July 21st in the evening (this is where we really need volunteers)
- Sunday July 22nd in the afternoon
For the first time the survey is also collecting “dried blood spot” samples as part of the research study (you won’t be asked to do that part) testing for prevalence of HIV and Hepatitis C at Pride festivities across Canada. We are hoping data collected can help overturn or change the existing “gay blood ban” which presently is one year for all “men who have sex with men”.
