2021 Report
The previous year was rough without a president treasurer as they quit early in the year. Only the treasurer had access to the account so we did not have access to our funds and could not have access to our money until Dominique our new treasurer’s hard work.
The new president quit right before the Pride event, replaced by the Vice president AWOL after the pride weeks. The first week went okay but most events of the second week events were cancelled. After months of no events, Rebecca asked in December for permission from the board to organize the AGM that is taking place today.
Election
President: Rebecca: Guarantees that she will stay on for the full year term and will not quit, she has experience with running orgs in the past and she feels that this experience will help her be a good leader for the Board. She feels confident her public speaking skills will increase with practice. She is already working in trying to get people involved and possibly getting a space for LGBT people to meet along the lines of a bookstore or café. She believes that is something ROP can bring forwards and can push LGBT entrepreneurs to get involved in.
Vice-President: Luke: Hi My name is Luke LeBlanc also known as Sabrina Knox, I am a queer, non-binary, gay person and my pronouns are They them/ he him. I am a Registered Nurse by trade and drag queen by spirit/reality and I am looking at being on the board as vice president so I can help the local LGBTQIA2+ Community by providing my expertise, knowledge, and know how to increase our capcity and better our local social dynamics of health. I want to do so via creating events that connect and empower the local community, along with events that inspire, bring joy and are inclusive. I look forward towards doing so while also upholding the values of the Moncton River of pride board, as we can be leaders in the community and effect positive changes by doing so. I plan on using my connections from the local drag scene, my past experience on Student union committees in my university career, and my problem-solving skills as a Registered Nurse to be able to help our community thrive in this little place we call home. Looking forward towards working with you all.
Treasurer: Dominique: clinical research consultant for Vitalité in research, in grant proposal and account. Wants to investigate the health disparities in our communities and increasing the quality of life of the LGBT people of our community.
Secretary:Félix: I believe I am fit for the position since I have prior experience taking meeting notes. I am also interested in translating publications for ROP as well as internal documentation if needed. I would love to help reach out and organize events for the organization.

- Véronique Léger: She works in the disability sector as a non for profit, employment counselor with marketing background, she has a lot of experience in event management. She sees a lot of challenges for the LGBT youth in her sector and wants to help.
