Wayves needs several things to run:
- an audience,
- advertisers,
- an editorial team, and
- writers!
These elements are in balance: we expand our audience and number of advertisers via great content; to get that we need an enthusiastic editorial team and brave news writers.
Writers
If you want do queer journalism in Atlantic Canada and get paid for it, write to 2027@wayves.ca. You don’t have to be a professional writer or journalist, but you do have to be able to talk to people about fun or difficult subjects. If you need coaching, we can coach.
If you know someone who might be good for writing for Wayves, forward this article (just the link, if you want) to them.
Editorial Team / Board
The subjects we focus on, and how we tackle them are discussed by a team via a slow-paced Facebook Messenger chat. If someone hears of something important coming up, they bring it up there and we discuss how we'll cover it. If you want to be part of the editorial team, write to 2027@wayves.ca.
