International LGBT Organization marks May 17: IDAHoT Iranian Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shirin Ebadi told us, "A world without homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia is a place where people respect each other's differences. Where life decisions are a private matter not judged by unconcerned others." Leigh Ann van der Merwe, a trans woman from South Africa, shared: "In a world without transphobia ... [everyone] will understand gender in all its diversity beyond the binary of male and female. The project is set to expire at the end of March 2015 and we fear that the end of this funding will seriously undermine the progress made in increasing the private resettlement of LGBTQI refugees.
