Crossroad Farm is a local 21 acre heritage farm and landmark located in Upper New Cornwall, approximately 20 minutes from Mahone Bay and Lunenburg on Nova Scotia’s South Shore – about an hour from Halifax.
The property was purchased in June of 2020 by Randy Harris and Kenton Abrams, recently relocated from B.C., with the intent of offering a space that could be enjoyed by those seeking to get outdoors and enjoy camping and exploring the nearby areas.
Kenton and Randy are avid campers having been among the first campers at B.C.’s Shadow Falls Gay Campground and KampRno’s which was located just outside of Nanaimo.
They recognized that the opportunities for camping for the LGBTQ community are limited in Nova Scotia so they want to make sure they offer a safe and inclusive environment on the Farm open to those who just enjoy the great outdoors.
In addition to places to set up tents and R.V.’s there are 3 on site accommodations including a vintage off-grid camper, a serviced 1980’s truck camper and a full service 5th wheel.
The campground's Facebook page is here, but all bookings are done online:
- via: AirBnb: individual campers to rent: Camper, Skylark, Woodstock, and the rest of the sites;
- via Hipcamp; and
- via Harvest Hosts
