In Wayves news: Virgin Radio & Move 100 created radio spots in trade for using the Halifax Rainbow Encyclopedia Events Calendar. There were two versions: 12 seconds and 26 seconds.

Prince Edward Island

After much contention, Three Rivers has passed the amendment allowing different flags, including the Pride Flag, to be flown at Town Hall. PEI's PEERS Alliance says, "Thank you for your support, and thanks to the councillors who voted for this important amendment."

New Brunswick

Halifax

Halifax Pride has announced that the Parade on July 23rd is on! The end point has moved by a couple blocks;  see the map in the main article, here. The marshalling area is still Robie & Cogswell St / Quinpool Rd

The 3-day Sheet Harbour Pride festival has been announced for July 28-30. The schedule is here!

Eastern Shore: Barber Wanted: From: Wayne Collette: I am looking for a part - time Barber to work in my shop Ship Shape Barber Shop located in Musquodoboit Harbour. My shop is presently open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 till 6 and Saturday 9-2. I am looking for the new Barber to work Mondays 9-4 , Wednesday 9-3, Friday 9-3 and Saturday 9-noon. Looking for a registered barber who has worked in the industry for a period of time. If interested you can contact me @ 889-2071.

Halifax Library has added many more fun, educational, and very Q events to July's list. They are marked with a multicoloured L in the big Halifax Events List.

The Q-co-op-owned-and-run Glitter Bean Café has created a "Help Save" GoFundMe for operations, renovations, and equipment repair.  The link is here which includes other ways to help - including, actually patronizing the business, buying stuff there, and promoting them on social media.  Stay tuned for a big article about the Glitter Bean in the next week.

 

Rest of Nova Scotia

On Sunday, July 9, Lunenburg County Pride hosted a vasty successful Pride Parade, the very first in Bridgewater. Here's Global's coverage of it, and here's CBC's coverage.

Yarmouth / South West Nova Pride has announced their festival September 18-24th.  Their website is here.

A new karaoke system has been installed at Mengo Camping Club, the gay mens' campground near Tatamagouche.  There's a list of Q campgrounds here.
